KATELIJNE LANNEAU - RECORDERS

Katelijne Lanneau  was initiated on the recorder by Paul Van Loey in Mechelen. In 1995 she became a laureate of the National Jong Tenuto Contest en in 1998 she won a first prize of the  Axion Classics Contest.

In 1999 she started studying at the Brussels Conservatory, gaining only a year later the prestigious  Köberle prize for the most promising student in the Early Music Department. As as student of Bart Coen's, she obtained her master's degree with maxima cum laude in 2004. From 2001 to 2003 she also visited Pedro Memelsdorff's classes at the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya in Barcelona. In Barcelona, Katelijne joined several masterclasses, among which those with  Jordi Savall and Xavier Díaz, specialising in the performance of mediaeval and renaissance music. From 2005 she focused on contemporary music at the Ghent Conservatory with Tomma Wessel  .

Katelijne is a member of the recorderconsort B-FIVE and the mediaeval music ensemble Il Nostromo del Sogno. She took part in several concertproductions with renowned ensembles such as Collegium Vocale Ghent (Herreweghe), Spectra Ensemble, Baroque Orchestra B’Rock (René Jacobs e.a.), Canto Coronato (Spain).
